Corona Mums Project - preliminary results and conclusions based on statistical analyses

Speakers: Aleksandra Ciochoń, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Poland

Pregnancy and the perinatal period is a challenging time for many women who experience numerous physiological and sociological changes. The most common reasons for worries include in-utero fetal health, possible delivery complications and potential problems associated with maternal care. Factors such as traumatic experiences during previous pregnancy or delivery, medical complications during current pregnancy, as well as previous non-associated with pregnancy mental disorders including anxiety and depression might predispose women to high prenatal anxiety. The presentation will present the statistical analyses performed, preliminary results and conclusions of the project, conducted jointly by researchers from the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Medicum and the Polish Academy of Sciences, which aimed to investigate the impact of anxiety and depression during the Covid-19 pandemic on mood, well-being, health and the course of pregnancy.
