Automatic Domain Ontology Mapping

Prezentující: Radek Jun

Nowadays we are facing to growing amount of documents on the internet. To simplify work with documents we often use some of searching engines that by means of key words combination an user can describe the requested topic. Or we can use an electronic catalogue, which combines browsing through the hierarchical structure and searching with key words. To improve quality of results or to enable automatic document process have to be added some meta-data information, some ontology. In the internet we can found many versions of any domain ontology. We intend to make automatic mapping tool for domain ontology, which suppose that ontology were build with the same or similar model. The model is a vocabulary of terms with relationships between terms in the vocabulary. To match ontology structure we use as a model the lexical database WordNet and a word distance function based on the WordNet.

The Adaptive Web - General Model And the Use of Semantic Web Technologies

Prezentující: Martin Balík

Adaptations are used in hypermedia systems in order to present only suitable information for the current user. Intensive research in the field of adaptive systems has been carried out in the last decade. One of the primary problems is how to store the content within the system. The information should be understandable not only to the users who use the system, but also to the computers which prepare the data for the users. This can be achieved through the use of semantic web technologies. Our aim is to devise architecture capable of interoperation, interchange of data, reuse of information and allowing simple application design. In the presentation I will describe the architecture of proposed general meta-model for adaptive systems and the issues connected with the web adaptation.
