Development in the Ferda project

Prezentující: Martin Ralbovský

The Ferda DataMiner is a successor of the well known LISp–Miner data mining system, which has served as a reliable basis for GUHA based data mining for many years. Ferda was introduced on the KEG seminar on November 11th, 2005 and there was another seminar describing the progress of the project in May. Since this last presentation, there have been changes brought by the 2.0 version of the system that are worth mentioning. The new version is no longer dependent on modules of the LISp–Miner system and introduces improved task settings abilities along with other minor improvements. Attempts to incorporate domain knowledge into the process of data mining have been carried out via new modules of the system, which will be mentioned in the talk. New academic works are planned to enhance Ferda’s data mining abilities in many ways. We will outline these works as well and tell more about the future of the Ferda project.
