XML document versioning and schema evolution

Prezentující: Jiří Kosek

(The slides for this talk are in Czech.) In this talk Jirka will shortly introduce the main topics of his long-avaited PhD thesis. Versioning of XML document types is not an easy task especially if forward and backwards compatibility should be properly taken into account. Various XML-based formats use different approaches to the problem and rely on different XML schema features. Focus will be especially on new features which have to be introduced into the existing ecosystem of schema languages in order to support different approaches to schema evolution and maintenance.
