Seminář: Learning user preferences from user ratings in a web environment

The talk will present the problem of learning user preferences based on the few rating the user associated to objects of interest. User preferences are used for recommendation of most preferred objects, so helping the user to find the best possible product. The talk will focus on content-based recommendation. Various problems will be described with a hint of solution. An overview of possible methods for learning will be also presented along with their practical application.
